Instructions for usage of Kid Control App

The controlled devices can be managed via convenient and simplified interface on smart phones running Android operating system
The devices are show in a list on the homepage. Touching a device from the list will show a menu in the top part.
The menu for each device consists of several parts - Location, Time zones, Apps, Web blocking, History.

Apps

Here you can define certain apps to be part of a list - "White list", "Black list" or "In timezone".
Also on this page you can define the list in which any new app will be added.
As "new app" is an app, that will be started for first time on the phone or PC after the installation of "Kid Control".

White list - the apps added in this list will be always able to start
Black list - the apps added in this list will never be able to start
In timezone - the apps added in this list will be able to start as defined in the timezone rules

Edit the list for an app

Press the three-dot on the right side of the app in the list
Press "Restriction rules"
Select the list in which you want the app to be added

Change the default policy for new apps

Press the three-dot icon on the top right side of the page
In the menu that will appear select "New Applications Policy"
Select the list in which the new apps will be added

Time zones

Here you can add, remove or edit time zones.
The timezone defines a time period of the day for certain day of the week in which your child will have or will not have access to apps or games.
The apps and games that you want to be controlled from the timezones are configured from the menu "Apps" as described in the next chapter.

Add a new timezone

Press the icon "+" on the top part of the page

Remove a timezone

Press the three-dot icon of the right side of the timezone and select "Delete zone"

Activate / Deactivate a timezone

Press the three-dot icon on the right side of the timezone
Mark or remove the checkbox "Activate"

Setting a default policy for the time periods of the zones

Press the icon "Menu(three horizontal lines)" on the top right part of the page
Select "Allow in zones", if you wish to allow the games in the time range of all zones
Select "Deny in zones", if you wish to restrict the games in the time range of all zones

Edit a timezone

Unlock the timezone for editing via the"Padlock" icon that has to become green
Set the time range
Mark the days of the week when the rules will be active.
Save the changes with the button "Save"

Web blocking

Here you can block certain websites that you don't want to be visited by your child.
For you convenience we have added in advance some frequently visited websites like Facebook, Youtube, Tiktok etc.

To add new site, that you don't want to be visited by your child:

Press the icon "+" on the top part of the page
Write the address of the website(e.g. example.com)
The website will appear on the lower part of the list - press the button to activate it(should become red)
Save the changes using the green button "Save changes" in the top part of the page.

Turn off website blocking:

Press the button on the right side of the name of the webpage to deactivate the blocking(should become gray)
Save the changes using the green button "Save changes" in the top part of the page.

Edit or delete a website:

Press the "pencil" icon on the top part of the page
On the right side of the website name a three-dot menu will appear - press it and select"Edit" or "Delete"
Save the changes with the green button "Save changes" in the top part of the page.
